In a changing world, it’s important to move along with it. Arriva understands this well and, with its new platform ‘glimble,’ addresses the complex and hybrid offering of public and shared transport. By seamlessly managing the financial settlement for business travelers through Abillity®, it creates an integrated environment that fully caters to the traveler’s needs.

Mobility as a Service

To make the use of alternative modes of transportation more appealing, Arriva has developed the free travel app ‘glimble’. The glimble app allows users to plan and pay for door-to-door journeys, combining various types of transportation. The choice is in the hands of the traveler, depending on weather conditions or the purpose of the trip. Travelers receive QR codes as their tickets, which they can use to access gates in public transportation.

Martijn van de Weijer, Director of glimble, states, “As glimble, we aim to ease the customer’s journey. Whether it’s an individual traveler or the same traveler as an employee of a company using glimble, the payment process is part of that convenience, and FIQAS supports us for business users.”

FIQAS takes charge of the invoicing process, ensuring that applicable rates, possible discounts, and subscriptions are accurately processed into clear and correct invoices for business users. Based on the travel information generated by glimble, Abillity® generates the right (customer) invoices, including specifications of used transport providers and pricing details.

Gonnie van Haarlem, Customer Ambassador at FIQAS, explains, “Together with colleagues at glimble, we mapped out the rating and invoicing process, and then we set it up in Abillity®. As a Customer Ambassador, I’m responsible for ensuring our customers’ wishes and requirements are met. This means that during the implementation phase and beyond, I’m the primary contact for the customer. This ensures that Abillity® seamlessly aligns and continues to align with specific processes and systems.”
