Hollandsnieuwe is a challenger brand that offers cost-effective prepaid telephony and data services through the reliable 4G network of its parent company, VodafoneZiggo. Ziggo customers also receive additional combined benefits.
As a challenger in the telecom market, hollandsnieuwe aims to keep operational costs low, partly by outsourcing and streamlining non-primary processes. One of these processes is accounts receivable management. Following a selection process, hollandsnieuwe chose FIQAS as the supplier for a managed service solution..
With the generic Abillity® platform, FIQAS provides a robust, cost-effective solution for hollandsnieuwe’s accounts receivable process, starting after invoice generation. On a daily basis, FIQAS, as an outsourced partner, handles the processing of MT940 files, including reconciliation, sending reversal emails, generating SEPA files for collections, re-collections, and exceptions, as well as creating and sending payment reminders.
Throughout these processes, FIQAS provides continuous feedback via various push notifications and reports, allowing hollandsnieuwe to constantly monitor outstanding payment requests. This gives hollandsnieuwe the option, for instance, to gradually limit services in case of delayed payments rather than immediately suspending them. This translates into higher customer satisfaction and retention.
FIQAS’s configurable solution, integrated into hollandsnieuwe’s existing system landscape, aligns perfectly with their operational methods. The functionality of Abillity® extends beyond accounts receivable. The generic platform can potentially be used in the future for earlier processes in hollandsnieuwe’s order-to-cash chain: invoicing and, preceding that, rating.
FIQAS’s solution was implemented in less than four months in a successful Agile project. FIQAS acted as a system integrator between the accounts receivable solution on one side and the Payment Service Provider and BSS provider solutions on the other.
The FIQAS solution has been operational since October 2019 and has resulted in a significant saving compared to the previous Accounts Receivable system used by hollandsnieuwe.
